A lot has been said about Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison, since both inventors contributed a lot to our current situation. Nikola Tesla - The Serbian-American scientist was a brilliant and eccentric genius whose inventions enabled modern-day power and mass communication systems. Thomas Edison, on the other hand, was the iconic American inventor of the light bulb, the phonograph and the moving picture.

I would go with Tesla. Tesla’s eccentricity and intelligence has fascinated me since childhood. He had a photographic memory and had ideated most of his inventions from imagination. This is a quality I have really adored. Unlike Edison, who was more of a methodologist, Tesla was a crazy experimenter. He had great visualization skills. He could start building prototypes using few preliminary drawings. Although I don’t mean to belittle the great Edison, I like Nicola Tesla more.

Tesla is no doubt a genius in his own right, but Edison made cooler inventions like motion pictures, battery, rubber, to mention some. And he was actually smarter in having all his inventions patented.
