Both musicians were known for their great performances, but if you were to ask me who the king of rock and roll was, I would definitely go with Elvis Presley. If you're wondering why, below are some of my reasons:
• Elvis knew how to own the stage and make it his, and despite the fact that Sinatra might have had a better sounding voice, Elvis ruled the stage. Elvis was an entertainer, while Sinatra just didn’t give out that vibe.
• When it came to the U.S. billboard charts, influence, and teena... see more
Comparing these two artists is hard because the sort of music that they sang was completely different. As a matter of fact, it is like comparing an orange to an apple and asking which one is better. They sang different genres of music, attracted different crowds of audiences, different ages of fans, the list is endless. However, if we were to look into the artist that sold the most records, we will readily find the reason why Elvis Presley was known as the king of rock and roll. He easily beat S... see more
Unquestionably the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley is the best-selling solo artist in the history of recorded music. These records speak for themselves. However, if you need a more emotional argument to make up your mind, this is the only one I will make – Elvis Presley was not a strong song writer. However, he could take a song, understand it and then sing it so well as to make it more magical and even emotionally personal than the actual guy who wrote it. That makes him the best. Don’t be... see more
He's not gonna be called the king of rock and roll for no reason! He has sold over 1 billion of sales, he holds the record for most top rated songs in Billboard's top 40, he even holds the records for most British number one hits!
I guess it depends what era you're from or what your parents liked
It is difficult to compare the two iconic singers. Elvis is a rock and roll singer while Frank Sinatra is a pop singer. Nevertheless, I'll go with Elvis based on the following reasons:
1. Elvis was more entertaining because, a rock and roll performance is way more tantalizing.
2. Elvis is credited for initially starting the rock and roll music revolution and popularity in terms of influence. Therefore, Elvis was a much bigger star than Sinatra in terms of influence, teenage craze, and US Billbo... see more
If I go with Sinatra, then I might get bitten by a hound dog. ;) I am happy being a crazy Elvis Presley. The reason is simple; emergence of Elvis is marked as a revolution in the history of music. He is the king of rock. I am an ardent fan of him and love all his albums. I think Elvis had a mass and class appeal both. He had come up with awesome rock ‘n’ roll songs which I can listen to anytime. Elvis is not just a singer, he represents a culture.
Sinatra is the GOAT!!!
It's still Frank's World.. and we're all just livin in it

Really? Elvis is crumb compared to Sinatra
Both Elvis and Sinatra are legends in their own right. But if we are comparing the two, I would have to go with Frank Sinatra. He sang more songs than Elvis, gave more hits than Elvis and worked with many recording labels. I believe this speaks to his versatility as a singer in having that confidence to try new things and work with new people and constantly keep doing what he loved more than anything else.
There are a lot of stories about Sinatra being a perfectionist and holding the recording ... see more
Sinatra has the most relaxing voice when he sings and one of the greatest singers of popular songs!
Sinatra is the Greatest Jazz singer! Elvis can't even sing without strutting! Rock and Roll died a long time ago, while Jazz still lives on!
