This one is so simple. There is a FINITE supply of bitcoin. There will never be more bitcoin issued. So the price has to go up.

This is definitely the next big thing. The growth over the past few years has been tremendous. It's now caught on to the masses. This IS THE FUTURE!

Since the inception of Bitcoin, its value has sky-rocketed. As more people, organisations and governments understand the technology and understand its potential applications in existing global and local issues, its followers will increase. We need to remember that Bitcoin is a disruptive technology. It was not created to cater to a demand market. This is a radical approach to currency and by its nature; such an innovation is bound to shake things up. My argument is that over the last 10 years, ... see more

A lot has been said about the bitcoin currency, and while some think that it is about to go bust, I say that it is here to boom, and for a very simple reason. The demand for bitcoins way surpasses the limited supply. Looking at 2017 alone, the value of the bitcoin went up by 1,200%, from $1,100, peaking at $20,000, before stabilizing at $13,100. Everyone is chasing after the bitcoin, including people that don’t even know what it is about. Countries have adjusted their financial structures to inc... see more

This has all the principles of a classic bubble. It's emotionally driven, almost entirely on speculation for profits. There still isn't a major, practical use case for Bitcoin (or crypto). It's become a public 'fad' rather than a public utility. Bitcoin is BUST.

The greatest investor of all time, Ray Dalio, has the following quote:

"Bitcoin today, you can’t make much transactions of in it. You can’t spend it very easily ... It’s a shame. It could be a currency. It could work conceptually, but the amount of speculation that is going on and the lack of transactions [hurts it].”

Ray has been the king of accurate predictions, and understands financial markets better than anyone in the world.

Bitcoin has TANKED in the past 48 hours.. it's down to $6k from an almost $20k high. The volatility of this 'currency' is outrageous. There is no stability because there is no real value & legitimacy to bitcoin. It's all people just trying to get rich ...... which is a recipe for bitcoin to flop.

Bitcoin is just another passing phenomenon in the stock market that has gained attention. Warren Buffet has perceived it as something that will fade away in near future. Bitcoin is dipping day by day and it is quite evident when we observe its price day in and day out. Sooner or later it is going to be non-existent.

Although Bitcoin is the new thing, I don't think that it will hold well in the financial markets. It's very unpredictable Anything that goes up fast will fall hard fast too. As the head of Goldman Sachs global investment research, Steve Strongin said in a note dated Monday, that cryptocurrencies don't have "intrinsic value" adding that it's "unlikely" whether any of today's digital currencies are likely to survive in the long run.

Many famous people like Nobel Laureate and famous economist Joseph Stiglitz and others have shared their valuable opinions about the seemingly booming bitcoin. 'Bitcoin is successful only because of its potential for circumvention, lack of oversight. So, it seems to me it ought to be outlawed'. Do your research people.
