You get to get off the plane a lot faster, and can get up to the restroom anytime you please! Aisle for the win.
I'd rather have easy access to the bathroom
I personally prefer the aisle seat for a number of reasons. For starters, when you need to walk around the cabin and go check on the business class, go to the cabin crew for a wine refill, or even visit the washroom, I don’t have to ask the person next to me to give way.
Secondly, if the plane window shades don’t work, the sun could get quite irritating if you're sitting on the side where it is shining from. The only thing that I envy about the window seat is the view of the landscape during ... see more
Aisle seats let you deplane faster in case of emergencies. They also provide you with option to simply get up and stretch your legs on a long flight without bothering your neighbor. These arguments work for me every time when choosing a seat. My personal reason for choosing aisle seats though is “people”. Aisle seats do not give you great views of sky or nature but when you’re bored watching the in-flight movie for 2nd time in a row, you can glance around and see some interesting emotions and e... see more
Aisle seat always! Yet it is true that you can do some sight seeing on a window sear, but what can you really see aside from the plane's wings, engine, clouds on a sunny day, water and land. Otherwise, everything is dark on a red eye flight. In an Aisle seat, you can deplane in emergencies and save your life faster.
I’d trade all my money for an aisle seat! It is extremely beneficial for getting up instantaneously for a stroll and not waking up the snoring grandmas and beer bellied dads! To those who say that window seat provides a great view- well; try convincing this point when you are flying up so high, that you can’t even see anything! Plus, air hostesses do come and make you pull down the blinds! I have managed to strike great conversations with the fellow aisle-mates, and trust me; it is much bette... see more
I would always prefer aisle over window. I have always travelled in aisle seats. Rather than sitting on window and having the so called cinematic view of sky, I love to observe people. People from different origins traveling together to some location; it is intriguing for me to observe people with different mannerism and facial expression. I like to observe people and their expressions throughout the flight and take out 10 character traits to weave characters from in my stories. Such a practice ... see more
Although, there's something to be said for the simplicity of the cup. It's a neat and tidy vessel (no risk of sticky drips here!) for the main attraction: ice cream. I'll have to go with cones because, cones offer zero waste and they add another dimension to one's eating experience: Making sure that one doesn't have a case of runaway ice cream takes technique and focus. And then there's the cone itself — crunchy and slightly sugary, it's definitely a suitable mate for one's flavor of choice.
For the long giraffe legs that I have, Aisle seat has been always preferred until I am asked to pay extra for it. These seats are just so convenient. Apart from the huge leg space they provide, they are also easy to sit and exit. And if you got to use the washroom, you don’t have to disturb anyone. Agreed that the window seat has better view, but hey! Its going to be all clouds in few minutes. I would rather nap away in my comfort of the aisle seat. Also I will not be hanging back waiting for my... see more
How can one not actually fall in love with that kind of window seat view. It takes your worries away!
I have always chosen window seat as I am a very conservative person and don’t like to talk much. I rather enjoy the view from the window or simply sleep. More so, a window seat offers you support from one side. You can lead towards it and relax. You can enjoy sea, city or desert whenever your flight passes over such regions and I love watching clouds. Have a feel guys –
Window every time. Until you have to pee. FML.
It has been a heated debate trying to decide which one is better, the window seat, or the aisle seat. I think that it is all a matter of preference, the length of the journey, and the number of people that you're travelling with. In my view, I would settle for window seats any time, and this is because of a number of reasons that might turn out differently to others, as you will see below:
• You get better sleep since you can lean against the wall, and make it feel like your natural pillow. Ano... see more
This is usually a matter of personal preference, but for me, the window seat will always work best. I guess that this is because I travel a lot during the day, and enjoy looking at the landscape down below. It keeps mu mind occupied instead of looking at the same dull things inside the airline. The only downside would probably be when I need to use the washrooms, and I have to ask the passenger next to me to make way. Being a geography lover, I would definitely prefer the window seat any time.
I could list several reasons why I'd prefer a window seat over an aisle seat, but I would like to point out one particular reason why I'd prefer the window seat, and that is I am an introvert and I like to be settled in all by my self and enjoy the rest of the travel not being annoyed by passengers who often pass by just to pee so often. The best past is, I can enjoy the magnificent view all to myself!
Hmmm... get your knee bashed by drink cart, or look at the earth from above?
I am a visual person, so I would prefer a window seat over an aisle seat. Wouldn't it be so boring to just sit in an aisle seat looking on the just the passengers' heads or cabin crew making rounds? I have nothing against cabin crew, but of course I'd rather see the picturesque view of the sky and the land formations below. Window seats are the best!
Window seats are better than aisle. They offer a picturesque view of sky. They also offer you the kind of comfort and privacy, especially when you are travelling alone. The best part about window seat is you can experience a view of the city once the plane reaches its vicinity.
The window seat is actually my best spot apart from when you need to use the washrooms and have to ask your neighbor to give way. On the window seat you get to see great views from above, while still enjoying everything that the plane has to offer inside. It is so popular that Emirates have created virtual window seats on some of their flights for those seated in aisle seats.
